Tour Update

Sundays Fixture

As discussed on Tuesday are now playing Weymouth RFC as Bournemouth have pulled out.  Their ground is approximately a one hour drive from our camp site and we need to meet at 10:30 for and 11:30 KO.

We appreciate this is an early start but it is a good fixture for us and there will be plenty of opportunity to discover more about this beautiful area with its World Heritage Jurassic coast, unique historynatural environmentaward winning sandy beach and picturesque traditional harbour (if visitweymouth.co.uk is to be believed anyway)

We have been asked to park in the Park and Ride which is opposite the ground.  Cost is £1.50 for the whole day and after the game you may like to  hop on the bus and visitPortland, home to some outstanding natural and themed attractions including the world famous Chesil Beach, Portland Bill Lighthouse, the Stone Sculpture Park and Portland Castle.

(I am sure this is all true although visitnortheastengland.com probably makes Sunderland sound quite nice and I can assure you it isn’t…)

Directions

Park and ride

Follow the A352 towards Weymouth, the A353 signed 'all routes' towards Weymouth and then signs for 'Park and Ride.'

Postcode DT3 5HJ.  Please note that the site does not have its own postcode, as it is not a residence - this postcode refers to the nearest establishment on Mercery Road.  Please ensure you follow the signing on the last part of your journey.
