Brighton U10's are a thriving and successful age
group in the mini section of Brighton Rugby Club, training and playing
matches on Sunday mornings 10 - 12, and Tuesday evenings 6 - 7.30,
at Waterhall. |

We have a squad of around 40 players, of differing abilities, who come to us from a range of schools across Brighton & Hove, and increasingly from throughout Sussex as we build a reputation as a centre of excellence for providing good coaching and outstanding player development at this age grade. |
|
We are supported by a committed and enthusiastic group of parents who help to make the children’s rugby experience an enjoyable and positive one. |

We play matches and Festivals to win, but also emphasise the importance of fun and participation as we teach the basic skills of running, evasion, passing, catching and tackling. We equally place a high value on the development of sportsmanship, team spirit, respect and effort amongst all of our players. |

We currently run three squads, The Blues, The Reds and The Stormers, who play in regular matches and festivals across the South East. We have been very successful to date, and are currently Sussex County Champions and winners of The Gulliver’s Twickenham National Finals, the highest profile tournament in the country, which began with a two day festival in Nottingham at Easter before the finals day at HQ in May. Between our teams, we also won 9 festivals last season and have gained many admirers across the country for the quality and style of our play. |

Our Tour is a big part of our season, in building a sense of togetherness amongst players and parents within our age group. Rugby is about more than just the playing of the game, and last year our 70’s themed invasion of Gloucestershire, with over 100 tourists, was a weekend that we look back on with great memories, and for some, a fair amount of embarrassment! |

There were a lot of happy, smiling kids playing whilst on our unbeaten tour last season, all being watched and supported by proud parents in a true rugby environment. That, in a nutshell, is what our age group is all about and long may it continue. |
